Cascina Boretta is located in Meina (Silvera), on the panoramic hills of Novara province surrounding Lago Maggiore (Lake Major).
Meina is situated at 15km (9miles) from Stresa close to his wonderful Borromean's islands and only 25km (15miles) from international Malpensa airport.

The area is well known for its vineyards, picturesque lakes, hills and Alps.
The sites to visit are Stresa, Borromean's and Brissago islands, the Cannero castle, Arona, Villa Taranto ( botanic garden), the Angera castle.
Not far away from our place, you can see Lake d'Orta and the mystic San Giulio island, and in clear days, from the top of Mottarone Mountain you can see 7 lakes as well as the Italian and Swiss Alps.
Possible activities and sports offered in the area are Trekking, mountain bike, water sports and football, among others. Tennis courts and swimming pools are also available.

The villa is located in a park of 1.5 hectares and can accommodate up to 10 guests in two different flats, it is also available as a separate apartment rentals for 2-4 or 6 guests.
One apartment is named after Leonardo and is composed by: 2 bedrooms, one room with 4 beds and the other room with double bed, both with river view, one bathroom, one kitchen, one living room with a small terrace overlooking river Tiasca, and best of all a fireplace for the chilly nights !
The other apartment is named after Michelangelo and is composed by: one bed room with a double bed, with a small terrace overlooking river Tiasca, one bathroom, one kitchen, one living room with a couch bed, and a cosy fireplace. Leonardo and Michelangelo apartments have been re-structured and re-furnished two years ago according to the local stile, to suit the different needs of our guests..
Enjoy your “open air” breakfast or have a romantic dinner in our spacious veranda, equipped with table and chairs.. or relax with the sound of the river and songs of nature.
The premises are equipped with heating system, a washing machine, hair-drier, automatic gate, free car parking space, and a great big garden with hanging hammocks awaiting for you !!
The owner lives in the same villa and can be contacted anytime to help you or answer any of your questions.
In Cascina Boretta park, there are more then 80 fruit trees. Feel free to pick the seasonal fruits by yourself ! Peaches, apricots, kiwis, apples, pears, chestnuts, cherries, sour blackcherries, walnuts, olives, grapes, strawberries, blackberries is what we’ve got. We also have a beautiful vegetable garden, offering different kinds of salads, carrots, capsicums, aubergines (eggplant), basil, mint, rosemary, parsley, fennels, cauliflower, tomatoes, vegetable marrows and many others. Up to you to cook them right ! Italian style !
We provide our guests with maps and information to visit surrounding lakes and mountains.
We can suggest on how to find small towns full of local history, preserved historical centres with tiny and narrow streets, medieval churches, sighting towers, monuments, historic villas, castles and fortresses.
Great natural parks can be found in the area, including one of the wildest park in Italy: "Val Grande National Park".
We offer a 10% discount if two apartments are rented at the same time. Subject to prior agreement it is also allowed to accommodate pets at an extra cost.
